Company Profile The main elements of MDI's business are design engineering, product manufacture, installation, commissioning (trials), and servicing of ride control equipment for high performance vessels. MDI designs and manufactures the electronic control systems, hydraulics, the underwater effectors (retracting, pivoting, bolt-on, and break-away T-foils in sizes ranging from 2 square meters to 13.4 square meters, retracting and non-retracting fins, interceptors, and trim tabs), and several ancillary products such as lifting foils, an autopilot, a motion sickness incidence indicator, acceleration monitors, and surface effect ship equipment such as vent valves, variable geometry fans, bow fingers and stern seals. MDI's application and simulations engineers custom configure ride control solutions for each project.
